Con un Robert De Niro casi irreconocible, nos llega la primera imagen oficial de la película, que comenzó su rodaje en Octubre de 2013 en Panamá. Aún se desconoce la fecha de estreno oficial pero la producción la programó para finales del 2014 resaltando el hecho de que puede ser modificada en cualquier momento. Actualmente se encuentran rodando en Nueva York.

Aparte de Edgar Ramirez y Robert De Niro, tambien están el español Óscar Jaenada y la cubana Ana de Armas. Finalmente el papel de Sugar Ray Leonard ha caído en manos del cantante y actor Usher.
